Follow the steps below to complete the NEW STUDENT enrollment process if your student is new to Merced City School District.
If your student is currently enrolled in MCSD, you DO NOT need to complete the enrollment process again.
Age Requirements
Transitional Kindergarten (TK): To enroll for TK, your child must turn 4 years old on or before September 1, 2025.
Kindergarten: To enroll for kindergarten, your child must turn 5 years old on or before September 1, 2025.

Preschool Eligibility Requirements
- A child must turn 3 or 4 years of age on or before December 1, 2025.
- A child who has had their second (2nd) birthday by the first day of school.
- CA resident, priority is given to families who live within MCSD Boundaries.
- Meet family size, income, and other eligibility requirements.
